The Digital 2020 WPO Annual Conference – July 22nd & 23rd

The Women Presidents’ Organization Annual Conference, postponed due to Covid-19, has been reconfigured as a new digital version – Reimagining Business. It will take place on July 22nd and 23rd.

The event will offer the same thought-provoking keynote speakers and workshop sessions, now on a digital platform. The entire international membership base will be able to engage with impactful content and networking opportunities – all without traveling.

The conference will focus on new ways in which to address the next stages of a dramatically changed business landscape:

ASHHRA20 Virtual Conference

In light of the latest COVID-19 developments as well as CDC and local recommendations, ASHHRA, as part of the American Hospital Association, will convert the in-person ASHHRA20 annual conference and exposition into a virtual event. The virtual conference will be held on August 24 – 25, and will incorporate many components of the in-person event while allowing ASHHRA members and others to remain onsite fulfilling their essential roles.

38th National Virtual Leadership Career Summit

The year 2020 is particularly significant for Latinx for several reasons: from a representation stand point with the U.S. Census Bureau Survey, a political stance with the presidential election, and from a workforce management standpoint, as the fastest growing and youngest emerging talent group. Our future depends on our ability to strengthen our communities, collaborate, and increase our visibility as one collective group to fight for racial injustice and equity to give everyone a fair chance to reach their full potential.

AAAED 46th National Conference

Our Kickoff session began on June 23rd and the official conference occurs on October 7th. In between these two events there will be virtual sessions/webinars, in the place of the concurrent sessions that were part of the Washington, DC in-person conference. The National Association of African American Studies’ Call for Papers!

The National Association of African American Studies are calling for papers and presentations for their 29th National Conference on February 20-21, 2021. Papers must be submitted by November 14th. See below for all of the paper requirements. For more information, visit their website here.

Details for National Association of African American Studies Paper Call. It reads: Abstracts, not to exceed two  pages, should be submitted that
relate to any aspect of the African and African American experience.
Subjects may include, but are not limited to: unequal earning
capacity, mental health, legal system, police brutality, community
violence, shootings, discrimination, education, employment, family,
substance abuse, poverty, workplace inequalities, health, emergence
of an underclass, and other topics. Please indicate the time required
for presentation of your paper (25 minutes OR 45 minutes).
